After the drama was aired, many of the cast was not many of the viewers favourite. Gallen who has returned after being absent from TVB for 7 years, were laughed at being old and even running out of breath when saying his lines. Fred Cheng (鄭俊弘) who plays his son, was also criticized by online netizens for being young and his lack of acting experience to be the main character. Ali Lee (李佳芯) was also criticized for having the same expression, but luckily the drama had veteran actor Lee Sing Cheong (李成昌). He was being praised when he first appeared and very cute when he is a villain. He was described as a magic pen who saved the drama. In the drama Lee Sin Cheong plays Qian Wing Tong, an enemy to Gallen Lo and also competitors. Although he competes with Gallen Lo, but always loses. There was a scene where Qian Wing Tong holds a charity ball, and at the event whoever donates the most money can take the first dance. However, the song for the dance was secretly changed by Gallen Lo's character and cannot follow the beat of the music. He later falls to the floor in embarrassment.
